In addition to all the beautiful Christmas lights you’ll see at Silver Dollar City, you can also take a trip down the Trail of Lights at the Shepherd of the Hills Homestead. You can enjoy two and a half miles of Christmas lights from the comfort of your own vehicle and, at the end, you’ll have a chance to ascend the 230- foot Inspiration Tower for an unparalleled view of the Branson area.  Another area light display, Branson’s Gift of Lights, is located just off Shepherd of the Hills Expressway.  This massive, drive-through display has added more exhibits for 2017 so, even if you visited it last year, there will be something new to see on your next trip.  As an added bonus, if you tune your car radio to the right station, you can even listen to the Christmas story synchronized with the Gift of Lights’ Nativity scene.

Ask any Branson local what they’ll be doing the first weekend of December and they’re likely to tell you that they’ll be attending the annual Adoration Parade in Downtown Branson.  This longtime Branson tradition is celebrating it’s 69th year this Christmas season and is sure to be bigger and better than ever.  Every year, the parade is kicked off by the lighting of the beautiful Nativity display that sits atop Mount Branson and is visible from all over the Downtown area.  From there, spectators will see dozens of area marching bands and countless floats built by local businesses, churches, and civic organizations, all themed around celebrating the birth of Jesus.  To celebrate Christmas like a Branson local, be sure to see the Adoration Parade.
