Legends of Golf Calls Branson Home

Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf at Big Cedar Lodge present Pro-Am and the Legends of Champions Tour Competition at Top of the Rock and Buffalo Ridge.   

The Champions tour is in its 36th season.  As a membership organization for golfers 50 and over, the Champions Tour’s main purpose is to provide not only financial opportunities for the players but also for the communities in which the championships are held.  Charity is a significant part to the Champions Tour’s missions and values. 

Some of the top names in Golf just completed their April stop in Branson.  Legends of the sport gathered in the Ozarks over 2 of Branson’s most beautiful courses, Top of the Rock, a 54-hole, Par-3 course and Buffalo Ridge, an 18-hole course.  Some of the biggest names in the history of golf such as, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Hale Irwin, and Tom Watson were featured in this event.  That is not even mentioning all the other pros from fishing, hunting, and Nascar.  There are just so many great professional players to see and Branson is fortunate to have them for 5 days!

The Pro-Am and Outdoor Experience event was held April 19, 2017 - April 23, 2017.  There were 52, two-man teams competing.  For the 13 teams not playing golf, there was Outdoor Pro-Am activities.  This included either shooting sports such as, sporting clays or archery, or fishing.
